At a time when students had started to become universally aware of study opportunities abroad, I saw a lag in the information available and provided to the young minds. I myself had been an aspirant for studying abroad but due to certain exigencies was unable to fulfill my dreams, moreover, no accurate information available for students like me 30 years back.

My urge for establishing an overseas education consultancy stemmed from a response to continuous inquiries that I received from individuals around me while I was guiding a lot of professionals for getting optimal jobs. A lot of them depended on my advice owing to my experience and knowledge in the Indian and foreign education scenario.

During our interactions I realized that a lot of these people had been misguided and some of them had even resorted to dubious means for sending their children abroad, due to lack of proper guidance, which could have led to their smooth transition without putting their careers, and at times, even lives in jeopardy. This inspired me to establish an organization that was going to provide comprehensive guidance and support to students who wished to go abroad for their higher studies.

Since its inception in 2003, Shiksha Overseas has used a deeply personalized student mentoring process to assist students to reach their chosen study destinations across the globe. Mr. Rupinder Singh Chhabra - CEO

Mr. Rupinder Singh is an MBA (Marketing) & B.Sc. in Mathematics. With over 9 years of experience in the field of HR management prior to starting his own Education Consultancy 17 years back, in the year 2003, he was working as an Associate Business Director with an HR firm, offering 360° solutions in the field of H R Management. His field of expertise includes career counseling, financial & visa filing with a good visa success ratio. He is a professional at his best. His expertise in Channel and Direct marketing has helped Shiksha Overseas take out different/new marketing concepts and under his avant-garde Shiksha Overseas has undertaken many successful Overseas University liaising assignments & formed associations with some of the highly ranked universities across the Globe.

After laying the strong foundations in the field of Overseas Education, his aim has been to form more and more direct associations with universities abroad and grow Shiksha Overseas along with its Learning services division in a comprehensive manner and add other verticals to the organization.

Mr. Rupinder’s expertise in international education is unparalleled and spans across business development and expansion, student financial profiling and visa preparation and academic program management.

Mrs Avinder Kaur – Director Academics

Ms. Avinder is an MBA with over 28 years of experience in the field of imparting knowledge to students of all ages. She started her career as an educator and as an excellent content & curriculum developer for the English language. Her credentials in the field of education include a PG Diploma from the University of Kent, London, in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, A Grammar Specialist Certificate, Bach. of Education; a Graduate Degree in Psychology Hons. from Delhi University; she is also a trained education & career counselor. She has been trained with & certified by the British Council for training students & other trainers for IELTS. She is also trained with & certified by ETS in the same proximity & PTE by Pearson Group. She is also a Cambridge certified ESOL trainer and SQA certified master trainer. Recently, with the introduction of CELPIP & CAEL, she has completed her official train the trainer certifications along with the advanced training certification. Her knowledge becomes an indispensable tool for conducting in-house training for IELTS / PTE / CELPIP / TOEFL / CAE / GMAT / GRE / SAT / FCE / BEC etc.

Prior to joining Shiksha Overseas, she was an HR and Admin head for over 2 years, with a London based independent Organisation; and has also worked as a curriculum developer with various prestigious educational institutions across Delhi. She has also been instrumental in helping set up English language academies in countries like China & Afghanistan.

Her knowledge & experience was an indispensable tool in laying the foundation stone of the Learning & Counseling Services division at Shiksha Overseas and making it a success. Her forte lies in counseling students for UK, Ireland, Canada, Germany & USA etc. Her journey from an educator to the Director for Academics itself speaks about her unconditional commitment & the success she has been reaping for Shiksha Overseas. She has been cultivating the educational field for more than two decades and is entirely responsible for counseling & admissions of all the branch offices of Shiksha Overseas.
